HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. — A former Red Bank police officer has been indicted after investigators alleged he was operating a patrol vehicle while under the influence earlier this year.
Hamilton County Sheriff Austin Garrett and District Attorney General Coty Wamp announced that a Hamilton County grand jury indicted former Red Bank Police Officer Brantley Young on charges of Driving Under the Influence and Possession of a Firearm While Under the Influence.
The charges stem from a January 2026 incident in which Young was suspected of driving a police patrol vehicle while intoxicated.
The indictment followed a joint investigation conducted by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Unit and Traffic Investigations Unit.
Authorities said Young was booked into the Hamilton County Jail and Detention Center early Friday morning.
No additional details about the investigation have been released.
