Metro Nashville police have arrested a 36-year-old Wisconsin woman in Milwaukee who is wanted on 10 warrants in a string of thefts from intoxicated men, the department said Tuesday.
Lorraine Luckett faces outstanding warrants for identity theft, credit card fraud and theft of property. Police said she will be returned to Nashville soon.
Three incidents dating to 2024
Detectives with the Metro Nashville Police Department’s Entertainment District Unit and Warrants Division identified Luckett in three separate incidents going back to 2024. In each, a woman took a man’s wallet and later used his cards at various locations, according to police.
In two of the incidents this year, investigators said Luckett was seen driving the same Hyundai Santa Fe with Wisconsin tags.
Surveillance footage from bank ATMs and stores also helped detectives build the case, police said.
Part of a wider effort
Police said this is one of several ongoing investigations into women who target intoxicated men. The department described thefts of this kind as a crime of opportunity.
The warrants are accusations. Luckett has not been convicted of any charge in connection with the case.
