Police said 22-year-old Calvin Howse Jr. met 24-year-old Terrance Martin to buy marijuana. The two got into an altercation that turned into gunfire. Howse was shot in the mouth and taken to a hospital. Martin ran from the scene, and warrants were issued for his arrest.

Arrest at the Bell Road Mapco

TITANS detectives found Martin on Tuesday at the Mapco at 765 Bell Road. He was a passenger in a vehicle driven by 22-year-old Paul Cowling, police said. Detectives took Martin into custody.

Cowling ran from the vehicle on foot but officers caught him quickly. Police said officers saw Cowling throw away a firearm, and they recovered it. Martin had a pistol on him when he was arrested. Officers also found more than 200 grams of marijuana in the vehicle.
