MT. JULIET, Tenn. — A routine traffic stop Friday afternoon resulted in the arrest of a man wanted on nationwide extradition warrants in both Tennessee and Kentucky, according to the Mt. Juliet Police Department.

An officer conducted a traffic stop on Volunteer Boulevard near Golden Bear Gateway after observing a vehicle with unlawfully tinted windows.

During the investigation, officers identified the driver as a 22-year-old man from Clarksville and discovered he was wanted on two nationwide extradition warrants.

Authorities said Montgomery County officials had been searching for the man since May 14, 2024, for probation violations related to weapons offenses connected to a domestic assault case.

Investigators also learned that Kentucky authorities had sought his arrest since Sept. 3, 2025, on a nationwide extradition warrant for felony evading.

The suspect was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Wilson County Jail.

He was booked as a fugitive from justice and is awaiting extradition proceedings.

Police did not release the suspect’s name.

The Mt. Juliet Police Department credited the arrest to proactive enforcement efforts by patrol officers.

Officials noted that what began as a traffic stop for a vehicle equipment violation resulted in the apprehension of a fugitive wanted in multiple states.

The case remains pending extradition.
