A second downtown Nashville theft suspect is in custody in Broward County, Florida, according to Nashville police. Officers said 38-year-old Davisha Traylor of Milwaukee faces five outstanding local warrants tied to a 2024 case.
Police said the case began when Traylor met a man at a Broadway bar. He escorted her back to his hotel room.
The man woke up the next day without his phone or credit cards, police said. Someone used the stolen cards at a Walmart on Nolensville Pike and at BNA.
Police said the case is one of several in which suspects are accused of stealing from intoxicated men downtown.
Warrants in other states
Traylor also has an arrest history in several states for similar crimes over the years, according to police. She has outstanding warrants in Florida and Arizona.
She will appear in court in both states on those warrants. Police said she will return to Nashville next year to face the local charges.
Charges are accusations. Traylor has not been found guilty of any crime in the Nashville case.
